Ironically, back in the early fifties, a young man, Konrad Kehl Jr. emigrated to Canada from Germany as a furniture maker and got his first job at Walkerville Lumber making wood sashes for windows. The elder Kehl would move on to begin his, later to be award winning construction company completing many commercial industrial, institutional and residential projects.

In the early 1980's his youngest son, Richard jointed the operation as project manager and later in 1999 acquired the machinery of a troubled window company to develop their own hybrid energy efficient window system. The early years where a struggle, the window was too energy efficient and market would accept the product. In the 2005, energy efficiency became a great concern of the consumer and Kehl Windows has never looked back.
